Position Title: Linux Systems Administrator
Location: Stennis Space Center, MS
Status: Temporary/1 year
Clearance: Secret w/ T5 Investigation
Required Certification(s): IAT Level II (Security+ CE)
Summary:
Patriot, LLC is looking to welcome a Linux Systems Administrator in support of Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) At Stennis Space Station. Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) is responsible for the collection, processing, and dissemination of operational oceanographic data and information in support of Fleet requirements.
The selected candidate will provide support to a set of mainly Linux-based middleware and DB servers supporting NAVO's OCEANS Network on NIPR and SIPR. Candidate should have prior experience and comfortability with Windows servers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Essential responsibilities of the Linux Systems Administrator include, but are not limited to:
- JBoss EAP 7.X or later Sustainment.
- Apache 2.4 Sustainment, Configuration and Security.
- ESRI ArcGIS Server 10.9.X or later Sustainment, Configuration, and Security on Microsoft Windows Server 2019 (although this is a small footprint of servers (around 4 systems).
- IIS Web Server Sustainment, Configuration, and Security for Microsoft Windows Server 2019 (same Windows 2019 servers as above).
- Sustain STIG Required Log Analysis and Usage Metrics.
- Cybersecurity Documentation and Quarterly STIG updates and associated remediations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- Experience with advanced scripting (e.g. Bash).
- Experience with Ansible or Puppet would be nice but is not required.
- ESRI ArcGIS Servers.
- Java configuration.
- Apache.
- JBoss.
- Elastic Stack.
- Windows IIS
- Must meet DoD 8140 DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) / 8570 Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) criteria or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification at time of hire (i.e., Security+ CE).
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.
NOTE:
- The applicant selected for this position must have and be able to maintain an Active Security Clearance.
